A request for training

[Zzyxx]

Zzyxx serveyed the field. It was an open bowl of dust, no nearby trees or structures, just a field. This arena was made to give no particular element any type of advantage. Zzyxx drew in a cleansing breath. He waited for someone to arrive, He knew the note he left at the Bar wouldn't go unnoticed.

[Silver Adept]

"Someone called you, didn't they?"

"Well, there's this bit about a challenge, I suspect. After all, it's not every day that someone tries so hard to find neutral ground. I figure I should give whomever it is some very nice all-around training. If they can keep pace, we can increase the strength and speed of the combat. We'll see what happens, though."

Silver looks out across the plain and his potential opponent. Nevermind that he's currently about six inches above the ground.

"Hey. What did that note read like, again?"

[Zzyxx]

Zzyxx notices Silver and moves forward slowly, no sudden movements, no need to turn a training session into a full fledged fight.

"Ah, Silver! I see you spotted my add, the one that said 'Warrior in need of training. Apply at dirt field north of Miniopia City.' I hope you did at least..."

Zzyxx cracks his neck and loosens up.

"So, are you gonna help me train?"

[Silver Adept]

"Oh, sure. I can usually spare some time out of my experiments and such to give you a few pointers. What do you need?"

[Zzyxx]

"anything you are willing to teach, I have been trying myself and found my own skills inadequate."

Zzyxx looked to the ground as he said that. He then looked up and said,

"We could start with basic ranged and melee combat though!"

[Silver Adept]

"Mm. All right then. We'll start with the ranged combat, considering I'm a lot better at that than up close. Do you want to practice trying to hit me or trying to dodge me?"

[Zzyxx]

"i'll dodge first... Just trying to gadge my agility, I never was a very good shot myself."

Zzyxx l;imbered up and got into a ready position.

[Silver Adept]

"All right then." Silver floats considerably higher in the air and says. "If it looks dangerous, get out of the way. We'll start with something slow and work our way up to my speed, okay?"

Two fire balls appear in Silver's hands, and he lofts them towards Zzyxx's position. Two mroe take the place of the two just thrown and they too head his way fairly slowly.

[Tobias]

Tobias happened to wander past, watching the spectacle at hand.

[Zzyxx]

Zzyxx noticed Tobias at the same moment he noticed to the fireballs. he responded surprisingly well considering his racial hatred of all things orange and/or flamey.

"DEAR LORD!! FIRE!!"

After screatching like a little girl and flailing about for a second, he manage to avoid all but one grazing blow from a fireball which quickly instigated a a fit of rolling in the dirt. Zzyxx stood up and looked at Silver.

"Could you use something other than fire? Please!!"
