The blockade runner is done and we took 5 pics of it. Need to get them after they are downloaded. My lego collection is too large right now so I have to build a couple of shelves in my room first. Then I will start the star destroyer.
Interesting fact & food for thought:
The Star Destroyer is 3100 pieces. It comes with a to scale version of the Rebel Blockade runner which is about 25 Pieces. What if the to scale version of the Blockade runner was the one I put together which was 1700 pieces? How man pieces would the Star Destroyer be using this scale.
Well if you do the math, the Star Destroyer that was to scale with the 1700 piece Blockade Runner would be about 211,000 pieces.
So.... how big would that be? Well. The 3100 piece Star Destroyer is about 37 inches long. That comes out to be 3'1".
Doing the math again... the 211,000 piece Star Destroyer would be approximatly 2518 inches long. This comes out to be almost 210 feet long.
That would be one big a$$ lego set.  |

Then consider that a SSD is about 8-10 km long where as an Imperial Star Destroyer Mark II is only 1 km. This would mean that to be scaled correctly, it would have to be around 1890 feet long. Or if you prefer, 5 football fields lined endzone to endzone with an additional 30 yards tacked on.
