Ok I have this friend Kat and she's really great but she is followed by this girl Krysta. Well often times Kat will finnish with me and run off and the Krysta and I are like "uh...." And then after a few min. (of silence) We say "See you around". It's so weird. I'm pretty sure Kat is trying to hook me up but I...I donno what to do.

Do any of you guys have to ddeal with the friend of a friend situation?

Hook up as in to date?

Because if that's the case it ONLY matters how you feel about this girl and the situation. If you're not sure, then listen to Therin: talk to her.

If you don't like her or feel uncomfortable in the situation then address your friend and ask her if anything's up. Maybe she'll clear things up for you.

Well I guess I'd like to get to know her. As far as relationships go there is another endevor I am currently persueing but that doesn't mean we can't be friends right? It's just I never know how to start things when talking to her. It's just like "Uh... hi. So you know Kat huh?"

Wooo, that is certainly uncomfortable! Well, I definatly agree with just getting to know the gal as a friend. And you have at least one thing in common already - Kat keeps running off and leaving both of you in that situation

Why not use that as an ice breaker? Joke about it, humor is a fast way to relax, or at least in my experiences. Well... well placed humour, that is

Just ask things like - how did you get to know Kat? How was you day? What music / tv show / anime / manga / movie / etc are you into? and so on. Usually when people find common ground and relax, the stuffy situation dissapears.

I also suggest having a chat to your friend Kat and ask what she's up to. You can then explain what you feel about her running off and leaving you two alone : P

Yeah I was just talking to Kat and she just giggled and ran off. Grrr Freshman! I don't know why I even both *sigh*. I do know this other girl likes manga and anime. I recently saw her reading Samuari Deeper Kyo which I have many opinions about so. I guess I could use that...

Talk to her, if for no other reason than she sounds like she could be a good friend =)
