If you liked Locoroco, then you'll probably like this too!
It's basically a 2D rythm action real time strategy game, and yes, it is as odd as it sounds.
You start the game by waking up a Patapon, and are given your first rythm, Pata-Pata-Pata-Pon ([], [], [], O) to move him forward and you eventually pick up 3 more recruits, so you have 1 carrying the flag of the Patapon and 3 with spears.
The strategy element comes into play when you eventually find more variants, such as axe-wielding Patapons or ones carryng bows etc and you find various stat improving items like more advanced weapons and armour.
The second level introduces your first attack rythym, Pon-Pon-Pata-Pon (O-O-[]-O) which enables you to fight back, slowly, against anything that may attack you as you progress along the 2D plane.
Only done the first 3 missions so far, but it comes across as highly enjoyable and I can see me enjoying this much more than I did Locoroco, which felt rather limited in my personal opinion. |

I did already have a topic for this, but it was more of a preview topic.
I wish phpBB2 could merge topics. 
Anyway... Yeah I played the demo twice and I will definitely be getting this game day one. Got it on Preorder at EB already!
Riva. You will soon get "Chicka Chicka Pata Pon" which is your defense, and then you'll fight a boss.
I wish they would have let us have a rain dance in the demo though. |

It's Chaka and yeah got that then really struggled against the boss, beat him with 2 archers left over...
So its not out over there yet? (Tuesday it ships right?) bloody nora, thats 2 games this month I know have come out before they have in the US (The Club and Patapon) |

Yeah it comes out next week here.
When i fought the boss in the demo, I lost 2 of my melee guys and that was it.
Went in with 3 melees, 3 spears and 1 archer.
Melee's are important for defense against the fire he breathes.
Chaka Chaka Pata Pon!
Hot damn I can't wait for this game. |

Ah thats one thing I do like about the UK, when a games reached its release date, its available throughout the area and not dependent on how close your town/city is to a distribution centre.
Yay for small countries (we might be small, but you wouldn't mess with our Army   lol)
Anyhow, not played this for a couple of days, I'm on the rain miracle part and have been trying to keep a Fever going so that I can summon the miracle as soon as it runs out each time, but I usually get interupted by Chixie or Rachael so mess up, get annoyed and switch it off! |

No they didn't. At least not by us.
EBgames.com shipped out yesterday. EB stores get it today.
I got my preorder call last night saying it would be in tomorrow afternoon. |
