Just a new wallpaper I've been working on.
I drew this little guy up about a year ago and couldn't figure out anything to do with him. He's been sitting on the side-lines until I found him today. Poor lil' guy! |

That's kind of the thing I was going for. As cute as I tried to make this it's a bit more of a social statement than I expected to make when I first drew him.

Yeah, that's the statement I kind of went for. How that no matter how blessed we are with our natural talent or skills, our inability to ignore the world image that the media can create can cause us to be stricken with poor self image.
Thanks for the great feedback. I REALLY appreciate it. It's been a long time since I made a wallpaper and this one has a LOT of throwback elements to my simpler days of design, the whole process was quite nostalgic and I loved every minute of it. Returning to basics I guess you could say. After what's been going on in my life recently, I needed to remind myself that comparing myself to world-image is probably every inch of the problem in how I look in the mirror. |
