Azurel meets Shandriz

ooc: sorry guys, this will just be a non-fighting RP between me and Shandriz. We really didn't have any place to put this.

Azurel soars over the snow-covered mountains to the north. Gliding along, he doesn't even flap his wings. Suddenly, his stomach begins to growl and he places his hand on it. Azurel spots some woods on the ground to the left, he figures he can find some kind of animal to eat there. He banks left and starts circling the canopy of the forest. Azurel spots a medium sized bear and decides to dive in for the kill. He is zooming past all of the pine trees, a river of green to each side of him. He closes in on the bear and notices another object close to it, something of a different green compared to the forest of pines. While flying forward, he turns his head to try and get a better view of the object. He hears the oh-so-familiar sound of an object closing in and as he turns his head he notices a tree not 10 feet directly in front of him. He tries to stop himself, but slams into the tree anyways. Limbs and wings fold around the tree and then he falls backwards and hits the ground just slightly softer than he hit the tree. He stayed there on the ground, trying to get his vision back.

The Drow had been out hunting that day. Often she left her cave for a couple of days to get it done properly when she was running low on extra provisions. Too close to her cave and there wasn't enough game, too far away, and she could find herself in more danger than she ever cared to repeat.

Rune was grazing on the little tufts of grass he found lying about, and Suki had been rather quiet, hovering concernedly right near Shandriz. Shandriz herself was a bit out of sorts, and she was hoping that that could be contributed to the recent visit of a very odd person, one Musashi the time elemental. He was gone now, but neither Drow nor Tressym was quite recovered from it. They'd been so used to being on their own for so long.

Suddenly, a rather loud crashing noise was heard, and she dropped her bow on the ground, exchanging them for her scimitars and darting towards what looked like a very large bird hitting a tree not too far from her. She'd never seen a bird so big before..

[Azurel]

Azurel was still lying on the ground, holding his head and moaning slightly. His demon ears twitched as he just barely heard the quick footsteps of something closing in on him quickly. He got up almost immediately, wincing at the headache he still had. Azurel's hands began to emminate with a black aura, ready to blast whatever was coming after him.

[Shandriz]

OOC: Sorry it took me so long, Azzy.

IC:
Shandriz approached the bird-thing cautiously. She hadn't been alive seven hundred years and not learned to be careful. Instinctively, she was fairly certain that at least whatever it was wasn't a human. That helped her fear quite a bit, because Matthias hadn't said anything about elves or dwarves or winged things being dangerous the way humans were.

Although she was quite certain elves weren't very happy with Drow either.

Her violet eyes fell on what looked like a human, but for the wings and strange features. She'd never before met a human with eyes that glowed. Demons, though, she had. He looked nothing like the handmaidens of Lolth, though, nor like the demons her brother the mage had summoned, and so she dismissed that thought,
"What..are you?" she asked. Her grasp of the common tongue wasn't terribly good, but it would suffice.

[Azurel]

Azurel dropped most of his gaurd at the sight of the female drow, but kept some of it up for the simple fact that she did in fact still have two blades in her hands. He studied her for a little bit while she did the same to him. Azurel noticed her white hair; what he would give for a color so pure. He was looking over her shape and body position to determine how well she fought and whether or not she was about to try and start a fight. He was shaken out of his thoughts by her question. Something about the girl just made him answer without thought to who he was telling or why.

"I'm a Demi-Demon, the name's Azurel. What's your name?"

[Shandriz]

Shandriz didn't move to lower her swords, her body poised for attack should this..demi-demon, as he had just informed her, decide to make a false move,
"Shandriz Vo'Dur," she said, purple eyes narrowing suspiciously,
"You're a demon? You don't look like the demons I've seen." It was hard work not to slip back into the Drow tongue around something she'd been exposed to only back in the days she was in the Underdark.

[Azurel]

"I'm most likely not like most demons you have met. My father was a demon and my mother was a human. Each side was tainted by the other and I was born. Well, Rayne was born, I came later."

Azurel's wings had not folded as they usually do around girls--people.

"And you...you're running around in daylight and talking to me. That's a bit unusual for a drow."

[Shandriz]

OOC: OMG! I totally forgot about this thread! Forgive me, lil' bro?

IC:

Shandriz narrowed her eyes at the demon, thinking. Part human? But part demon. And Matthias had never said anything about demons wanting to kill drow, or part-demons. And why would they want to? Most demons were evil as were drow.

"Are you good or evil?" she asked, then, as an afterthought, "And no. I am not like most Drow."

[Azurel]

ooc: you're forgiven because I forgot too ^_^ let's try and keep it going this time. And we'll IM eachother after 2 days of inactivity. KITTY!!

"Heh. Am I good or evil? I'm generally good natured, but I do enjoy killing. Rayne...Rayne is evil. If you stay around me, you'll eventually meet him. It's a bit hard to explain. I have two bodies and two minds. There's this body, my demon body, with my mind being fairly good. Then there's my human body, Dantrel Rayne, he nearly destroyed the Western Continent."

Rayne was smirking in their mind, happy that word of him is spreading even after all this time.

[Shandriz]

The Drow nodded thoughtfully, then motioned towards his head,
"Are you all right, then?" she asked, though if one looked closely enough they could tell that she was still a bit nervous.

Matthias had warned her about humans, and despite his demon body, this Rayne had said he was human. Not that a demon was much better either. Still, the confusion was enough to keep her from attempting to flee the site immediately,
"I believe I can heal you if you are not."

Suki fluttered closer to Rayne, her big blue eyes seeming to take in everything about him before she settled at Shandriz's feet.
