The loss of Sperrit to this board and to our lives is certainly painful, for we all cared for him and he genuinely cared for us. This thread is for us to help remember the good times we had with that wacky elemental, and to keep the hope alive that one day he can return to us...

My rememberance:

I guess it shouldn't suprise everyone that I will always remember Sperrit because of the amazing dynamic duo of Pot and Kettle. We were two peas in a pod, nothing could stop the onslaught of our posting!

Keep the faith...

Sperrit will live on with PO.

Soon a new version of the front website will go up. This features a small area at the top of the page that has a PO catch phrase and next to it, an Otaku. These two things will be generated randomly.

Sperrit's Catch phrase "Join the Fun" will be in the mix of the PO Catch phrases.

I will always remember how I beat Sperrit to 500 Posts... then All I saw was the back of his Hawaiian shirt from there on out.

Ahhhh, Now that I've actually looked at the other posts I see his is gone due to outside reasons...You guys had me worried that he was dead or something.

I myself will always remember that Sperrit always had something to say to pretty much any topic. He reminded me of myself only a bit toned down and more easily excitable.

I will miss the lil' guy...~sniffle~

A first best friend to me. I remembered when I first met him, pounced him and took his pocky. But later on I felt bad and gave it back, cause I knew he wasn't such a bad guy. Then we started working together in the pub and I burnt down it down. Then he helped me out in the shop. Sperrit always had great things to say. I want to cherish all of those moment, until he comes back and get new ones...I hate faith that he'll come back.

I would always love to visit him. I was being so childish when I was asking my dad if he won the lotto we could go visit friends. "Let's go to Seatlle first to go visit Cobbi and Sperrit! They are the coolest! Cobbi like music lots and Sperrit says cool things to always cheer you up. I'd really love to go see them!" He said of course and I got excited, but you know, you'll have a hard chance winning the lotto Confused

It was just so confusing and sad at the same moment. For losing a great friend and why? The many confusions between everyone. Maybe we'll not know. It might be personal, or he just doesn't want to tell. And that's his business. And this, could not be a bad joke that he would play. Sperrit isn't the type. But Sperrit will always have a place in our hearts and here in Pocket Otaku. It's just hard to bare a great friend. We love you Sperrit.

*Sigh* I remember the first time I met Sperrit, I IM'ed him to find out how to make my sig show up (I didn't know to put in the [IMG] commands). Since then we worked very closely on the roleplays together, running our posts by each other to see what each other thought. It worked out well since both of us are pretty new to the whole roleplaying concept. We also, of course, discussed our characters backstories. You wouldn't believe how well thought out Sperrit's history is. I can only hope that one day Musashi is half as a developed character.

Sperrit was a great friend...someone who you could always count on to listen to you and always had something uplifting to say. I wish him the best in life and hope that the god of posting will one day return.

*sigh* I wish I was as good a talker as I am a writer. It probably wouldn't help much, but there's always a chance. Anyways...man. The first time I met sperrit was when he replied to one of my stories and said something along the lines of "that was really cool" and I thought "New guy. I'll bet he's just trying to get more posts so he can change his member title." man will I ever regret that. As I talked and posted and rp'd with sperrit, I learned that he was quite the contrary; he was simply a nice guy. He will never be forgotten. And if he comes back, well...WELCOME BACK AND DON'T DO THAT AGAIN!!!...and I'm sorry I thought wrongly of you.

Didn't notice that thread before, how can it be? To me, a friend I can only communicate on the internet that vanishes, is the same as a friend in real life that would die, since it's probably as physicly impossible to get in contact with the dead friend after his death, then to get to meet your online far-away friend in real life after you've lost the web connection between each other ... to tell the truth I don't beleive it's a good way of seeing things, that's pretty too fatalistic don't you think? But what can I tell you, that's the effect it has on me.

the first time i talked to him was back a few months after i needed help from being in a fight with a freind...i knew how good of a person he was and i kew he could help me.
i talked to him and he solved my problem and ever sice i talked to him all the time. i looked up to him and talked to him about the things that troubled me most and i will always remember what he told me, "it is not I whi can solve your problems you must do it but with help"

and to this day i think about that whenever my life takes a wrong turn and i end up getting through that problem,

sperrit will live with us forever...and if anyone thinks that sounds crazy..well they have the wrong thoughts in their heads because sperrit is what made pocket otaku...pocket otaku he showed us the path and showed us good humor...
got us through our times of tears and hardships.
he held sakuras hand all the way through her mothers death and should be respected for that.
showed riva oni the path to face his father and move in with someone that DID love him.
got me through a time i almost lost a freind...
i just wish i could have said thanks one more time for all the times he helped me. well i will anyways

Sperrit.

I'll tell you honestly I was so incredibly touched when he told me how excited he was about PO. And as we started talking more and more, I realized he had the drive to make this a success as much as the founding members.

And when times were rough even for me and I felt some doubt in all the time and effort I have put forth into PO all I had to do is think about Sperrit and his enthusiasm and it kept me going.

He really kept my drive fresh. And he was and still is such an important part of PO and each of our lives.

I can only wish that he comes back to us. I lost a lot last year, and I realize it's a part of life, but I know he will be greatly missed in this community and our hearts.
