YAY for fencing. Its my favorite sport after swimming. But I just feel like talking about it. Anyone ever fenced? Anyone doing fencing right now? Anyone like watching fencing? Anyone want to know ANYTHING about fencing? ASK. Or answer.  |

Well, I've studied European fencing(read: rapier and epee) for three years now... and I just started kenjustu as part of my Shotakan karate class. I'll admit, I'm not very good at either... but I do practice them.
I'm much better with longer weapons, ala bo staffs and polearms, but I can handle a rapier okay. I'd get my be-hind whupped by anyone with any talent, though.  |

I was wonce interested in fencing, long time ago, when I had the choice between that and judo ... I picked judo for various reasons (major one was financial reason) but I would like to try that at least once in my life, or twice heyhey |

I should try the fencing club here at university - I've always wanted to learn. I think, though, I might be better suited to learning stage combat for the purposes that I would want to fight. Either way, if I fenced, it would be sabre. |

Yeah I was a member of my university's fencing club but it was rather hard for me since I'm left handed and most of the other students as well as the instructor was right handed. I think my fav move was the lunge and saber. |

! Awesome. Didn't know so many people would respond. I just got back from a tournament than lasted 12 FREAKIN HOURS. I had about 10 5-touch bouts and about 5 or 6 13-minute 15-touch bouts. I am TIRED....--"
I fence Epee' Its just plain fun...Sometimes I fence foil but the trading thing gets kinda annoying. My favs are disengage and parry-follow-attack. |

I would absolutely love to learn to fence. But lucky for me there has never been anywhere I know of near enough to me for me to learn.
Love doing the fencing at the Rennaisance Festival though. Everyone I know refuses to fight me, so I have to fight the person that works there, who is really good. I beat him last time I was there, pretty sure he let me though  Which saddens me, I want an honest fight with him, win or lose.
