I don't know if this game will be good with online play. :\
I just hope is a classic a la Megaman 1, 2, 3 and 4. Never a fan of 5 or 6. I kinda liked 7, 8 not so much. |

Let's not forget the awesome press kit that we can order from capcom's website...

Get with the wrestling, Fahey. Capcom announced today that, thanks to popular demand incessant shrieking, they'll be making the brilliant Mega Man 9 "retail" press package available to the public through their online store. To refresh, you'll get a cardboard box and a replica NES cart, and maybe even the assets disc that was sent out (ie a bunch of screenshots and artwork). But if you want one, get to your sprinter's blocks: Capcom say they "just can't get our hands on enough of the raw materials to make as many as we would like", and that as such, when they go on sale, they're going to be "exceedingly rare". |

A friend of mine has it. He says that he was a bit disappointed of the backward step from Mega Man 6 to Mega Man 1 type gameplay. Mega Man has no slide or M-Buster which seems out of place. But he is loving it. He did say is freaking hard as hell, though. |

This game is simply AMAZING. I would love it if Megaman could slide- or if they could find some way to explain why Megaman can't slide or doesn't have a powered shot in the story other than he "hasn't done this in a while", lol. But honestly, I don't mind the step back one bit!
There are a lot of seemingly "Oh, COME ON!" moments, and I love every moment of it! The 8-bit era was CRUEL and this game delivers with that.
And that story's nice too! I certainly hope we see more Megaman games- even if they're all 8-bit! I'd ALSO love it if we could finally bridge the events from Megaman and Megaman X. Wouldn't it be neat if Capcom could actually END a Megaman series before starting a new one?
This game's boss. Wish they would've made more of those press kits(limited to 200?)! |
