Deathly Hollows in 3D

I took my wife to the premiere of Deathly Hollows pt 2. We got to watch it in 3d. If you have never got to see the 3d at the cinemark its pretty amazing. The tickets were kind of expensive but it was more than worth it. They showed a marathon of all the harry potter movies and then premiered pt 2 at midnight. The place was packed. In fact the first two theaters we went into we couldnt find a seat. My wonderful wife finally complained to a manager and lied her ass off about not being able to sit in the front row due to her eyesight (god i love that woman) and he took us to an almost empty theater to watch it in.

The movie itself. It was amazing. They added some extra scenes for the 3d version too. The opening one was particularly awesome. A panoramic view of hogwarts at dusk with dementors floating about. That scene alone was worth the ticket price. I wont go into the story so i dont spoil it for folks but i will say it did not disappoint in the least. A worthy ending to a great series.

oh yeah and Nevelle gets his day at last

Shan and I saw it as well... she said that Nevelle's "day" was much cooler in the book and when she described it to me... I could see why she would think that.

I did enjoy the movie quite a bit and never read any of the books.
