Help! Internet probs! :(

So, here's the story:

I recently bought a new graphics card for my 800 MHz compy in order to replace the old one, which had fried after the fan had stopped working. Everything is now fine, except that there seems to be compatibility issues between the graphics card and the network card. If I transfer stuff between my 800 and some other computer, I have a chance of getting a bluescreen saying "Hardware Malfunction, the system has been halted" and forced to reboot. To fix that, I now just avoid transferring files over the network.

But now there's a new problem that surfaced: the internet dies during the night. Mom wakes up, sees there is no internet. I wake up, check the router's log, and it's saturated with connection attempts, all failed. Because it happened probably during the early night, the initial connection loss was purged from the log. After clicking DISCONNECT, checking everything and all, the router then decides to reconnect by itself without being asked for it and bam! The internet is back again!...

Have you tried a vaccum?

Might want to try now this is only if it's plug and play. insert the disc that came with it if it has one, and reinstall the driver. Make sure you get rid of the previously installed one, first (don't refresh it) how you do this is (right click on my computer, -->device manager find the visuals card, delete it and exit (donot refresh the device manger)
then restart your machine, insert the disc for your new driver, and run the install program. If this dosen't fix the problem, then I'll look for another solution.

Router has no installation disc per se. Modem always has been connected to the router and thus doesn't need any installation. Graphics card drivers are the latest through Windows Update, same with the network card through its own company site.

hmm, I'll try to get some info my friend is a computer technition I'll get some instructions for you this upcoming week, if it's not fixed by or before then.
