Okay, people.. Let me start off by saying that contrary to most people, I really enjoyed the N64 Castlevania games, so if you don't agree with me on this topic, that's okay.

Now, does anyone remember the game Konami was developing for the Dreamcast; Castlevania Resurrection? Well that was back in 1999 to 2000, though in March they officially killed the game. I was really looking forward to it, and it doesn't look like it's coming back any time soon.. Apperantly it was to be a purely action-based 3D castlevania game starring Sonia Belmont from Castlevania Adventure fame, and a new hunter named Victor Belmont. It took place in 1666 (the time of the great london fires) and involved your typical Countess trying to resurrect good 'ole Vlad again. It looked to have the same cool atmosphere that the first 3D games sported, but with more of an action-oriented gameplay and level design. So here's a bit of a memorial to what could've been but never was.

Check out this site for mp3s of some of the music from the game that never was:
http://www.classicgaming.com/castlevania/cd/rips.htm (It's towards the bottom of the page)

Got the music playing? Here's the shots. They're not the best graphics by today's standards, but they certainly give a great atmosphere.

Wow, if that's Victor Belmont he sures looks alot like Tim Curry. Maybe they scrapped the game plans and are going ahead with movie plans. Cool

In related news, Its funny that Dreamcast (the system that "died" before all of the others did) is still getting new software releases while the N64 (which never officially died) isn't. I don't even think PS1 software is coming out anymore, at least except for the watered down PS2 versions of stuff (cough, Tony Hawk, cough).
And after all this time of breaking down Phantasy Star Online, they still can't release a decent online PS2 game. Why'd I ever buy that damn modem..OOPS! I mean "Network Adaptor".

LONG LIVE THE DREAMCAST!!!

Good point, mista hare.. heheh..

And people, defniately check out the music (except the wierd "cartoon" songs). If you like classic Castlevania stuff set to a more techno than rock setting, you'll really enjoy it.

I want a Castlevania compilation game thingy...I know there's one for the computer that has Castlevania 1,2, and 3. But what about Castlevania 4, Bloodlines, SOTN, and that One on 64 with the Werewolf? And I want them on a SYSTEM games that were always played with PADS should NOT be on computers just like computer games that used keyboards should NEVER be used with pads.... Oh well, VIVA LA CASTLEVANIA!

PS> Captain N The Game Master's coolest Char was Simon Belmont.

Really? I thought they did a terrible job of making him a character on that show. Although they f*cked up nearly every character, really.. Link was an ass, Megaman sounded and looked horrible, Mother Brain looked like a freakin' broccoli and wasn't nearly as cool as her silent killer game-counterpart.

But then again, that show was somewhat trash anyways, sooo

Oh, and the 64 game with Cornell the werewolf is called Legacy of Darkness. For those not in the know, Legacy was a prequil to Castlevania Apocalypse (known as Castlevania64 in ze US), starring Cornell and Henry (a gun-toting knight; hell yeah). And then you could also unlock the characters from Apocalypse, Reinhardt and Carrie, to use in the prequil quest despite not having their own storylines.

And that's enough outta me :3

Myau? The original one? Whatever happened to Castlevania I, II, and III on NES, the three GB games, Bloodlines for Genesis, or Castlevania IV and Dracula X for SNES? Wow Symhpony of the Night was actually a direct sequal to Dracula X for PC Engine (and SNES, tho the PC Engine version was what the sequel was based on).

that's b/c the one for the Turbo was that much better. It was in my opinion the 2nd best Castlevainia game. Losing only to SOTN

The SNES one was a joke. It was missing so much stuff and the Turbo one had such kick arse music. \/\/007!

NOOOOO! There was a Castlevania on PSX that WASN'T SOTN. For some reason EB ain't selling it no more but it's like the original Atari or whatever version...It pre-dated the NES version... Maybe I'll scan the case so you guys won't think Of me as a liar.
