The PO peoples are on Hyjal. As far as classes, What kind of player do you wanna be? The kind that's in the fray doing lots of damage? Sniping away from long range? Summoning pet minions? Being a master of status effects and Damage over time? Being a human shield? Healer? Hybrids? Theres a lot of options in WoW |

Theres an alliance and horde guild so either would be good. You could be an Undead Rogue ; ) |

Pally's are fun major damage plus healing spells.
Hunters have good range weapons and can dual wield but can only wear leather armor.
Warriors all I have to say is TANK. |

Rogues get dual wield, and pretty much do more damage than any other class. Plus they can sneak around, even into opposing capital cities. On Khadgar we've had an undead rogue named Vaper sneak in IronForge and kill our Flightmaster single handedly. But Rogues only get leather armor, which wont make much a difference because most of the time you will kill mobs long before they come close to killing you.
Hunters get dual wield and have, by far, the highest ranged dps. They also get pets and are prolly one of the easier solo classes. If you set everything up right and dont get too agressive you can go through a lot of battles without even being hit. Oh... and hunters get to wear Mail armor at lvl40. |

If you play them right, rogues can be some of the deadliest characters. Their actual attacks do not do much damage, but the fact they get 3-4 more strikes in and have a higher DPS (damage per second) rating than others does add up fast. If you are a rogue, however, I do suggest sticking with the daggers if you want to remain the "assination" type (the one that relies more on stealth and killing things fast), as some attacks require them (mainly backstab and ambush). Also at level 20, they get the ability to craft poisons. Very useful in PvP.
Night Elves and Undead seem to make great rogues. Undead get Will of the Forsaken, which allows them to be immune to fear, sleep, and charm effects for 20 seconds (believe, warlocks are pain in the asses when they use fear on you). Night Elves have Shadowmeld, which adds to their subtletry and allow them to be harder to detect while being stealthed. Dwarves are another nice choice if you want to be a treasure hunter.
For all rogues, you will start out with daggers, throwing daggers, and leather equipment. As stated above, you cannot learn mail at all, but your job is give out damage, not take it. As for weapons, you cannot use two-handed items, but you get to dual-wield earlier and cheaper than any other class. You can also use one handed maces and swords if you like. For your ranged weapons, you got the choice bow or guns. As for professions, leatherworking and skinning seem to be the most popular (for armor creating), but I got to the point where it became pointless to build it up (I was leveling up too fast and the stuff my guild sent me was much better than I could ever make...plus since skinning is so popular, selling it at the AH is pointless as no one will buy it). Engineering I heard is quite useful, and mining goes well with that. Herbalism could also benefit you want money and also to get a reagent for your poison.
My main character on Deathwing is a rogue and I absolutely love her. I been able to sneak by so many enemies and complete harder quests in enemy filled areas with no problem what so ever do to stealthing and stunning. |
