Vaos was hunched over the controls, busy flipping a few switches and inputting functions and commands into the highway builder's computer. Several monitors had creatures in their views; the largest monitor showing an animalistic robot. Vaos looked over to Joe after hearing his questions, not in the mood to answer the latter.

"We're being attacked, Joe."

"Well, yeah, I know, boss," Joe said, staring out the side window at the battle, "But...there isn't exactly much we can do, is there? Besides, I wanna check something. Where did we put the map controls again?" He looked around the cabin, filled with colorful indicator lights and controls, but rather spartan in terms of human comforts. That was Vaos, for you.

((Could someone possibly send me an update so I can jump back in where the plot's at? I would read through everything, but I really don't have the time/patience/attention span...I'll probably be able to post on it tomorrow night.))

The assault began without mercy, the creatures being ruthless in their efforts. Though it looked like the humans were able to hold. As it looked like all was well a second wave emerged near the highway connection to the generator lab. They were sloth like in appearence and just as slow. The big difference being a pair of huge sacs on their backs.

"FIRE"

A volley was released and made contact with the sloths. It fell over dead, though the sacs continued to vibrate as though it was alive. In a display only described as disgusting litters of smaller rat like monsters clawed their way out of the sacs. Their bodies distorted like they had just been born. Razor sharp claws and teeth adorned their bodies. They wasted no time in running to the perimiter line.

"Watch your backs those monsters are carriers!!!"

Zeke continued to fire upon the opposition on his side. He activated his com-link: "Hey buddy...im getting feeds of carriers on your side...i think you know what to do...get some flames over there."

Zeke closed the com link, and continued firing, changing the clip once again to the blue-tinted one, dispersing lightning fast bullets.

Another volley of fire from the ARX Rifle as Fenris weaved through the sky.
An empty click as the ammunition expired.
Fenris clipped the weapon to his back.

it was obvious the sluggs did nothing other than leave a dent or scratch on the mechanical creature. Zomick unlaoded his clip on the nearest things around the thr robot, grabbed the syringe marked A and injected it. He would be regreting this choice of action later from a mutation but it will be worth it.

Zomick shot up leaving the gun where it was took a few steps back and ran forward leaping towards the robtic wolf-thing. If he was lucky the thing would keep moving and not notice him, but he doubted it and waited for the thing to fire on him as he plumeted towards the ground.

The Wings detached and the Wingless Machine began to fall.
Wirewolf's Saber ejected into Fenris' hand.

The Wings hung in the air.
"Computer!" Fenris roared.

-Target Locked-
The Wings flared up and rocketed towards the Generator in a last ditch effort to destroy the machine. Fenris would have to have new ones made. Although that would be near impossible. There was nobody alive who could make another pair of Phoenix Wings.

Nobody.

Wirewolf's eyes glared red as it intercepted Zomick. Fenris would be very much surprised if this foolish one could support Wirewolf's weight. At least the weight should stun him for a moment. Or so he hoped.

Zomick brought his right hand back and clutched it into a tight fists, his muscles were bulding from his injections and he had a heavier build but was still the same size, a man of 6'0". Average.

Zomick came within range and punched at the machine as he was flying by.

"Why is it giving me a chance to fight? Am I no threat?"

Thoughts raced through Zom's mind as he hit the ground. He couldn't feel much of anything right now, may be an after effect of too much "juice". He slowly started to trun around to even see if he hit his target. "Damn syringes, they better work..."

The battle continued on on Zeke's side. After picking off some more, he noticed the continuing firefight by the reactor. Loading his fire-elemental magazine, he ran for the generator, and after the internal threat.
