Having a degree in marketing, and having dealt with advertising before, I often look at commercials in a different light. Although I'm either pleased or indifferent to most, often times I find myself really questioning what the hell they were thinking when they made particular commercials.
Case in point: Has anyone seen this horrendous commercial for Bacardi Limon? The Bacardi bottle is apparently a submarine, with lemon wedges as its propellor, and it comes out of a hole in a lemon that's supposed to be a sub base, I would guess. Then it "swims" around for a while, through a school of martini-glass fish, and into a coral reef that (I think) has a party going on. Seriously, who the hell is Bacardi trying to target with this? It's in fact so bad that it makes me angry. |

hehehe. You're so silly. But very right. Some of the commericals these days are outrageous! As for the Bacardi commercial those are usually stupid. I think they should look at who does the ads for Budweiser and get them to do their ads. |

It's a Brit thing...
I just saw the Bacardi Razz thing and aside from the awesome animation it took, I don't get it either.
Then again, Napoleon Dynamite is pretty big and it was rather stupid as well. |

yeah i know what that evil ass frog is... the noise it makes almost made my friend have a seizure
im pretty sure the thing was sent from hell to punish mortals
anyway i think most of the marketing people now, are grown in cages... thats the only thing i can think of cuz the majority seem to have there thumbs up there ass far far away from the pulse of society |

The ones I REALLY think are dumb are the ones that go about promoting a product, but never actually tell you what product they are promoting. Or the ones (especially found in medicine commercials) where they tell you the product's name, but don't give you any real indication as to what it does. |
