Where does your name come from?

Alright.. I thought this would be interesting to hear just because I'm weird like that. This is the place to put anything about your name, either your character, nicknames, kid's names or your real name like why that name in particular, what does it mean, et cetera.

I'll go first! Alright, since my characters name was just very random with no real story... . My real name happens to be Karís Alena (First and middle.) And I got my name in a very interesting way...
Okay. First off, I need to tell you a bit about my mother. She definately one of those believers in the supernatural. Very spiritual, but secular in thought yet the type to believe in mysticism and all that preminition/fortune telling stuff (Not superstitious though) and has those dream interpretation books and whatnot.
Anyway, now that that is out of the way.. She had this dream one night and she dreamed she was in the hospital ready to deliever.. and while they were putting her under some voice told her to name her child Karís Alena.. It was even specific enough to have an accent..I guess told by pronunciation..
Yeah, my mother is crazy. But I love her.
And after I did the research on my name just to know I found out both are Greek in origin, my first name meaning grace or bringer of aid and my middle meaning radiant or light.

My first also happens to be a city in Finland. x3

I dunno -why- they named me after him.
But I'm not complaining.

My real name is Veronica Ann Sharkey. I was named Veronica after my mom's mother, who died a few years before my parents got married. I have no clue where the Ann came from. Sharkey (which does not mean 'like a shark') is the anglicized version of the Old Irish "O'Searcaig" which derives from "searc", which means love. So my last name means lover or some variant of that.

Nika is my nickname, as is V. Both are shortened forms of Veronica. I can't stand being called Ronnie. Nika came from Spanish class, where I needed a "Spanish name". I have no clue what it means.

Satine is my PO name, obviously. I needed a French name for my character for a (now defunct) RPG set in France that my friend and I were planning. I liked it, so I kept the character idea and name and used it for PO.

Well, my name is Daniel Patrick Traynor. My parents like to tell it that they had decided since our family has strong irish roots, that they would have a very much irish name. When it originally looked like I was going to be born in March, they decided they should name me Patrick (ie the saint.) with the middle name Daniel. However, when I started getting closer to my birth date, and it was only february, they decided they would switch it up. They figured if my name was good enough for a now quite famous New York Politician, it was good enough for me. Daniel Patrick (Danny Pat) Traynor.

I have no idea where my real name came from.

"Bekuki" is my nickname "Becky" prounuced in Japanese.

Well, my first name came from my father and grandfather, Cesar.

My middle name came from my grandfather on my mother's side, Jose.

As for my PO name, I changed it from Atlasan and Zane came from the fact that when I started playing Golden Sun, I hated all the characters names, so when I changed them I named the main character Zane (just randomly made it up) and ever sinced then my "alter ego" has been Zane.

That is my full name. Christopher means follower of Christ (makes sence) and Larkin means singer.
My nickname is Kipper.
Taken from old Galic meaning pointed hill.
Lastly,
Zzyxx is the name of a town in California.
I like it,
I've used it ever since.
