Ok everybody here's the deal I just got a new kitten from my sensei, and for awhile everything was going fine, it would eat, drink, play and use the litter box. Now when ever I try to feed it it dosen't want to eat toay all I saw was it wonder around and take naps, could it be sick?  it's taken atleast 3 naps so far today and it's so light weight. I'm worried please help me. |

Take him to the vet, just in case. You should anyways-- every new pet is bound to have something wrong with them, you can't know what they've been through beforehand, or anything. Besides, you gotta get booster shots and that sort of thing. Let your vet know that he's not eating, and is a little lethargic. It could just be the new environment, but your vet will still want to know. ^_^ |

Yeah the vet is by far your best bet,
other than that how old is it? cause if they are seperated from thier mother to soon I am pretty sure its really not good to the baby. |

If the vet doesn't work... I heard Catnip is the key to bringing up the spirits of any cat. He/she will love you forever too. But first try the vet.  |

poor kitty-when i got Jetty(my puppy) she wasnt very well-she had worms and fleas and wasnt in a good state-Shadriz is right most new pets do have something wrong with them-he is only a baby so he will sleep loads but if it doesnt eat regularly then it needs seeing to |

Actually, kittens are not affected by catnip. The scent only affects mature cats.
And definitely take your kitty to the vet. Baby animals will sleep a TON, but they should also eat like there's no tomorrow. And be running around crazy when they're not asleep. |
