But I hate stereotypes. This is my view on them (and by all means feel free to quote me) Stereotyping is a shitty way to get to know someone without investing the proper time required to make an accurate assessment.
We're all individuals, and I hate it when people throw me into a catagory. If you can't take the time out of your schedule to get to know who I am before judging me, then you have no right to judge me. So in closing SCREW stereotypes and SCREW um.... stereotypes. (wow, how anti-climactic..)

Stereotyping is becoming a largely innacurate way of trying to construct a shorthand for people. People these days have far too many "buts" attached to their images to allow for an easy shorthand asssessment. This is good, even if it requires a bit more effort to construct a picture of someone.
So stereotypes suck right now because they're innacurate. Maybe when they start becoming more accurate again, they won't appear to suck as much. |

While I agree that stereotypes, for the most part, suck, I think there are a lot of instances where they are fairly accurate. |

Can't tell you how many times I've been called "Apu" or told to go get a job at the Qwik-E-Mart. It just hurts me to see the blind stupidity rampant in our population. Some people are just too thick headed to realize not everyone is how you want them to be. Stereotyping is lame. |
