whats with all the rouge bashing?

I have run into allot of people with my rouge that hard core hate rouges and swear to me they really suck. I was under the assumpton that a rouge was one of, if not the strongest PvP class, so can anyone shed some light on all this hate?

In all online games, there is always going to be a class - although probably undesirved - that gets bashed. In FFXI, for example - Thief gets jilted alot with the fools saying 'choose Ninja, its better' - but that doesn't help the new players who can't unlock Ninja yet. In a lot of cases, players don't want to even party with classes they deem sucky.

And it seems to be seasonal or depends on the trend - depending what the mindless masses think, a class can be 'cool' or 'rubbish'.

It's silly - and you shouldn't really listen to them.

This might just be spawned by all the people who have not played as a Rogue and hate loosing at PVP

I agree with Yunni.

I have nothing but love for my Rogue. She kicks major ass and usually people hate on what they can't understand.

Now I've played about 5 classes now - not all mind you - and I understand the use for each one. My personal preference is to play a rogue because they are fast. Game play has to keep going because I get irritated if it goes slowly. Which means for my warrior that I have a healer to play with. It means for my warlock that I have a tank to play with (aside from my pet). Rogues can't heal but they sure can dodge and get out of the sticky situations.

I think it's just *vanish* envy.

People don't hate Rogues as much as they hate hunters though. ^_^

Rogue is the best PvP class if you build them right. Select the wrong talents and your rogues is fairly useless in a PvP fight.

The only bad thing I have come across with rogues is that when fighting I do so much more damage than a warrior that my threat levels sky-rocket and I become the tank...Since I'm not a healer the warrior ignores my ass being handed to me and won't taunt the agg off me.

But rogues have Feint which reduces threat....Sometimes.

Seems to me people bash Pallys more than rouges. cant understand what a pally is. no im not a great tank, no i cant to tons of damage, no i cant heal everyone to full heath as fast as a preist, but i can do all those moderately well. im there to fill in as a role when needed. say the tank dies, i can use concecration, or seal of fury and pull alot of stuff onto me. say the preist cant quite keep up with the damage being done, i can help him heal a little bit. if the major DPS people are lacking, Seal of the crusader + Seal of command allows me to do alittle more damage. but people are stupid... so i dont listen to them.

I see plenty of Warrior haters around as well. It seems like every class is gonna have it's haters and lovers but the truth is the only way you can really pull off the big wins is if all classes work together. Which in the end is the meaning of having the game and it's purpose in the big picture of things.

yea...this brings back memories of playing DiabloII.

It was constant hate towards Assassins, Druids, and Paladins. LIttle did people know that a Paladin could be one of the greatest assets ina group, the assassin has kickass attacks that inflicted loads of damage, and druids could pump massive points into one of the lycan skills and either become a tanking were-bear or a superfast energy draining were-wolf.

Similarly, everyone is always like "Dude, my amazon / sorceress kicks your ass"

Last time i checked, throwing spears and/or forzen orbs and running away doesn't really take much skill.
