Im starting to get the forbidden errors. also, about half of the images on any given page wont load, and a refresh just changes which ones wont load. it seems to be random. i use IE, i cleard my temp and cookies, and it seems to be working at the moment, ill let you know |

Just a little bit of info on the issue:
This has something to do with an apache module called mod_doevasive. What this does, is it tries to detect brute force or denal of service attacks against the servers. So if someone is clicking fast through the site, then it seems to want to block them because the software thinks the server is getting an attack from that ip. That ip is only blocked for a few seconds once it determines the possible attack has stopped.
I have made some mods to that configuration so that it's not so sensitive, but not until tonight, just before I sent this email. Let me know if you receive any more reports after I sent this email (roughly 12:35am, 10/11/05).
Thanks for brining this to my attention... I hope this will resolve the issue. If not, let me know ASAP and I'll tweak it some more.

Good resolution - that seems to have cleared things up a bit, although I still was getting some forbiddens, as I like to check out all the forums. I slowed my middle click technique and things appear to be doing better so far. Everyone else? |
