RG... Looks good.

I have a few suggestions.

1) Make the pages all the same width. You have the main page one width and then all the other pages that branch off of it are larger. I would stick to a width of around 790ish (800w screen with a few pixels for each side's border).

2) Try to keep your navigation and format consistant. You have your nav on the left on the first page, but when you click a link, it moves to the top. Either nav scheme is fine, but just use one.

We can talk about it more offline if you like.

I second Shino's opinion. Consistancy from page to page is a really important thing in webdesign.

Are the Relay For Life and "Fall Relay For Life Kick-Off" links outside link or is it part of your website? If it is part of it, it'd be best to make the layout the same as the rest. If it is not a part of it, because the layout uses a similar style and colours, I'd suggest making it pop up into a new window to signify that it is not a part of your site, but rather an ouside link.

I'd suggest a banner for your Cafepress store, or else make the link a noticably different colour than the regular text. It doesn't pop out to me as a link.

There should be a more obvious link to get back home. I didn't realize that the main banner at the top was a link back to the homepage for several minutes, and many people probably wouldn't realize it at all.

The biggest thing I would suggest is a site map. There are a lot of links that you can only get to by following another link first. A site map would have all the links on one page, catagorized under the main headings. (Like 'Events' and then list all the events under that catagory).

Now for the good things, because no one likes to just hear bad. Smile

Thank you, thank you, thank you for properly resizing your image. So many people take HUGE images and just resize them on the site, rather than doing a REAL resizing. So the images still load as slowly as they would if they looked huge.

Both layout/navigation systems you use are clean, easy to follow, and not overly cluttered. You don't have an uneccessary animations, music, or strange clipart that is just thrown in for who knows what reason. So when you choose just one layout/navigation system to use, you already have a good one.

You have a nice, easy to follow look to your site. The solid white background on the majourity of the site makes it easy to read the text. The bordering lined background sets the main content off nicely.

hey you two - thanks for everything!!

The relay for life and the Kickoff stuff aren't another website, but its another section (a relay section). There's a third section im working on (sponsrship) and to denote the differences my idea was to make the page bgs different... the relay one was orignally lines, but they were very dizzying... so i changed it to a gradient.

is this not a good idea? should i have the same bg overall?

thanks again,
teh rg

Try to keep as much consistancy as possible so people know they are on the same site.

Notice how PO has the same background when you move from the main site to the forum.

Same idea.

The main site is what we created, the forum is seperate and plugged in, but we modified the forum to look like the site for consistancy. Smile
