Well my grandma's birthday is the same as mine and we'd always call eachother and wish eachother a happy birthday and well she passed away yesterday.  The bad part is I decided yesterday morning on the way to work that I was going to buy plane tickets out to Cali and see her before she passed. I called my mom on my lunch break and she said it sounded like a good idea, I was going to get a red eye out sunday night and come back sometime on thursday. Well I got off work last night with a msg from my dad saying to call him that it was important and he gave me that bad news...
I am happy for her however now that shes out of her pain and suffering and onto a better place. She had cancer which pretty much by time they caught it had spread throughout her body. :/ |

I'm sorry to hear that. But you have the right attitude about it. She is in a better place. ALso, know that (whatever religion you are) she's watching you and I know she's proud of all that you have done and all that you will accomplish. She can be your gurdian angel and I'm sure she's always listening and watching over you.
At least that's the way I feel about my great grandmother who passed away. We had a special bond and when she passed (she was 102 years old) I knew it was best, because she too had cancer. Today I picture her up in heaven having a grand ol time, watching down on me as my guardian angel.

So sorry to hear that.  It's always worse when an important date in your life coincides with a memory that hurts. My aunt died (just recently) on my anniversary. My mom announced she wanted a divorce on Christmas morning. So Christmas hasn't been the same since, for me, and I have the feeling that future anniversaries will be a bit different, too. |
