Ever had one of those nights?

Tonight I went for my first day at my new job, and for 80% of the shift I was on the verge of vomiting I felt so shitty. But being my first day I didn't wanna flake out so I just grinned and bared it as best I could. Some of the guys I worked with invited me to do some stuff after but because I was feeling so sick I declined and went back home.
A lil after I got back I got a lovely call from skylah, it was really short cause she has a ton of stuff to do in preparation for their open house for eid, length aside though still very lovely lol. Any way she told me to go to bed Razz

I was about to take her advise when my friend called cause a girl wanted to interview him and I for a paper she was working on. So I decided it would be a good idea to go get a decent meal on my stomach before sleep so I popped out for what I thought was going to be a very quick thing.
However the interview turned into a 3 hour long conversation between my friend and I that was really really deep, plus after it all I feel great, not sick at all.

I don't know it was just one of those nights that everything just fell into place to be perfect Mr. Green

Heh, I started reading and was going to agree with you because tonight I felt like shit, could barely move for a good hour of my shift, got burned and cut, just a general shitty night. ^_^; then I finished reading the rest of your post.

I guess I can still agree. Some days I trip over my own feet more than I usually do (it's at least once a day now :p) and I get the wounds to prove it. And everything I do just seems to end up going to hell. But at the end of the day, I share my stories with someone, and we end up laughing about it for hours, or getting into deep conversations about it. And then everything seems alright.

Yeah those days happen. Or sometimes you have a completely horrible day but then the next day things happen to make you forget how bad the day before sucked.

heh...today was like that very much...had a rough start, work was tough, and me and my date for tonight couldn't do anything due to both of us being tired...but on a good note, we had a Cafe meeting, and in that meeting, we had some terrific stories to tell, as well as resolving lots of the problems going on. I know it sounds odd, but i felt good afterwards; like my work there had been done for the day officially.

yeah I've had those days.
much like today. I biked to work in to rain got soaked. Worked my shift soggy and tired. Both my knee and my heart have been giving me trouble. the past few days. At the end of my shift after I had done MORE than my share of closeing work, I was loath to think that i hadto bike home in the cold rain. I was thinking of just coming home and crashing.
But as I was leaving I thought of a friend of mine that i have not seen in a long time and how he always said " sometime you win, sometimes you lose, and sometmes it rains." Well I left work and the rain had died done, but n the way home thinking about that friend of mine it reminded me of this site ( he was the first to show it to me) and all the friends That haven't heard from me. Now I am back here posting into otaku land where I feel at home now as i did all those months ago.

That was kind of how Atlanta was when Aradia, Faye, and I all were there year before this one. We didnt have enough sleep, had too much sugar, and were trying to do too many things at once - thigs sort of fell into place, though, and everything came out a-ok.

Days like that are special, when in spite of frustrations and set backs, somethings clicks and you get this brief moment of cosmic amnesia where the universe has forgotten to bother you with a bunch of stuff for a few hours.
