Question about EBgames...

It would really help if someone here works there/knows some policies of the place.

I just ordered Viewtiful Joe and Viewtiful Joe 2 for GC from the site last week. Got my games two days ago and couldn't be happier; VJ was really fun and I'm probably going to play through it at least five more times. But before the replaying, I decided to pop in VJ2 and beat it as well. But VJ2 doesn't work. It's got a big scratch on the disc and won't read at all. Does anyone know EB's policy on broken pre-played games? Is there a trade-in, do they replace it, or do they just say tough luck?

Well from working in a video game store if it were broken we'd just replace it. However you may want to check out the site to see if they have their policy listed. Although I know Sciler worked there recently as a store manager so she may have more 411. I'd also try PMing her if the site yields no info.

You should be able to bring it in to one of the stores with the receipt and they will replace it if they have it.

Not 100% sure though.

EB's Return Policy

In my experience, they will take returns in-store for items bought online. If its defective, they will give you a replacement no problem. Trying to get your money back can be a bit more difficult since EB's policy is to not accept returns for refund if the item is opened (the sticker seal they put over the case is borken) and in my experience the website does not put the seal on the cases in the first place.

Thanks, guys. I made the order on Nov. 12, hopefully that doesn't really matter though.
