bESM gaming

Does anyone else here have access to a bESM player's guide (the anime roleplayers handbook.) Id like to run some scenarios here on PO, but my inner DM wants some kind of structuralized system for determining statistics - and the character point creation system is so super flexible is could accomedate nearly any PO power.

Ive brought this up way in the past but now that ther are a few more people around, I jsut thought Id see if I had any more fellow tabletopers around who wanted to run a scenario. If so, Id like to utilize the PO chatroom for sessions, rather than traditional board post and response.

I used to have bESM (not the D20) but I misplaced it in my move to Canada. I'll have to check my books.

There is a system out there that can accomodate ANYTHING called GURPS.

Itsa great system but a lot to take into account...They have free character generators out there that handle most of the brain work for ya but there is SO much to choose from character creation can still take hours.

For those who don't believe the system can do EVERYTHING...Here's a wallpaper of one of the characters. BAM!

Ive never really liked the flavor of GURPS. In process of being so many things at once, it winds up spreading its self thin. The systems and mechanics that drive it are similiarly difficlt to use to my tastes - although Ive heard of several a successful GURPS game. Thanks for the suggestion Gaazarillia.

Terin, as I understand it the character point creation system in your bESM manual was adapted into the bESM d20 system. There shoudl be plenty of paralelles and the main difference will probably jsut be simple combat and skill mechanics. I image that mose of the attributes/defects are almost exactly the same. Ill grab you on AIm sometime and compare notes.

Azzy posted the non d20 version of bESM. In my opinion the d20 version flows better. Ill get a holf of a good pdf and host it on my site later.

I prefer Mutants and Masterminds. It's normally a superhero game, but it manages to handle pretty much anything well, and is better designed than BESM, IMHO.

Your an angel mitchell ^_^. You get bonus points for style and all around good charm! And dont worry about Guardians, their Open Gaming hoes, they wont mind too much. And their canadian, so their not even really people.

Ok, so I have a group of Faye, Terin, and Ultrawolf. A good three man team. I already have a scenario written up and If eveyone would get with me on when we can meet in the chat room to run the game we could set a date! This weekend Ill try my very best to get ahold of UW and Terin and we can teach ya how this whole thing works, no worries, youll get eth hang of it really quick (your kinda half smart cookies). Faye, Ill nab you up this weekend as well, only in person. Id like to play next friday if thats kosher, but I see that that is disturbingly close to christmas. Maybe we can even play this weekend if I get a hold of eveyone fast enough, just depends.
