Here's a link:
Thumb Warriors
I just saw a commercial for this on TV. Basically, what you do is out these things on your thumb, and thumb wrestle, trying to knock off the other guy's 3 shields so that you can expose and hit his "Trigger of Doom".
Now I ask you...why? Why do we have to keep making things like this? What was so wrong with thumb wrestling as it was? Kids have been amusing themselves with it for probably decades or even centuries! Why must we insist on automating or electrifying or digitizing everything that once was, that didn't need automating or electrifying or digitizing? |

i have to say, it's gone too far...i mean, cummon...all thumb wars consists of is holding the other thumb down, now giant lizard monsters breaking off their armor for the sake of hitting the "sweet spot" and holding them down there.
Its just wrong. |

Ugh this is horrible! Why can't we just thumb wrestle? I mean think about the effect this would have on the enviroment. And for that matter how "entertaining" does thumb wresteling need to be? |

Wow Chesire...great find. That REALLY takes the cake. Did you actually read some of the things on there? This is my favorite:
Quote: | Back in their day, they actually had to use a gross empty bottle that didn’t spin very well. |
WTF is so gross about an empty bottle? And it didn't spin well? Gee, I didn't know that this game required an advanced degree in physics in order to play it properly.
And did you read some of the reviews?
Quote: | I think this game is great for kids! It gives them something fun to do in their spare time! This game would come in very handy at a birthday party and would go over very well with the kids! I think its a great idea! |
Something fun to do in their spare time? Well, while you're at it, why not break out the tequila and have the 9-year-olds do body shots off of each other?
Quote: |
It's OK to kiss!
I played kissing games when I was ~9 or 10. Now I'm 20 and the girls I am a nanny for love to play this game at get togethers. There's nothing wrong with a kiss-- especially on the nose!! This game is ok with an adult in the house. |
Wow. I'm really glad that this person isn't the nanny of my kids. Well, not that I HAVE kids...but if I did, I wouldn't want someone like this within 2 miles of my house. "Hehe...kiss on the nose....hehe...how cute..." jackass... |

That is just disgusting! I have kids! I have a six year old and if at nine he was playing kissing games i would be a bit concerened to say the least! Not so much the boys it's the girls that i worry about. Letting them think that kissing and hidding and playing around like that at such a young age is okay, what do you think that does for their morals and personal boundaries. With peer presure you can't say no. Speaking from personal experiences. I think kids learn about sex and the like way to early as it is. NINE is WAY to young for things like that. And "This game is ok with an adult in the house" that adult needs to be slapped or have his/her head checked!
Sorry, just a little irritated. There are so many things you can't do anymore, like if you infant falls off a couch or anything for that matter you are considered neglectful, but letting your nine year old play spin the bottle isn't? I just don't know,
Oh yeah and about that Thumb Wars thing. That looks like a pain in the butt. And not very practical either.
Okay I'm done now. *passes out* |
