If you don't know what Xlink Kai is... It's a program that lets you play Ad hoc games over the internet.
Ultrawolf and I played with this a while back but after finding that our current config couldn't do it... we stopped.
The main reason we got back into trying to get it to work was b/c Monster Hunter Freedom was Ad Hoc only. Which we thought was pretty retarded, but Xlink Kai has saved us!
Ultra got it set up earlier this week. I just picked up the Piece I needed yesterday and got it up and running.
It was pretty easy to do too... we picked up the PSP Wifi Max adaptor, then just followed instructions given on the Xlink site to set it all up.
It was really easy to do. Took about 10 minutes.
After which I was seeing people joining my guild hall and I got to join the one that Ultrawolf was in.
I didn't get a change to actually play Monster Hunter, but Ultrawolf did...
I'll be trying it out later tonight... maybe. |

I've been playing like crazy on Xlink. It's so MUCH more fun and easy with multiple people. I really wouldn't have minded waiting another few months for them to add an online infrastructure. That's really my only fault so far with the game. But I've been having a blast, I think I'm already nearing 150 or so hrs and I STILL haven't completed all the missions and unlocked all the medals. oy! There's tons to do! |

I gotta get this. I can't believe the training hall expects you to beat a Kut-Ku with a great sword while surrounded by Velociprey. The Kut-Ku alone in the jungle was hard enough, even with bombs and pitfalls! I definetly need some monster hunting support. Hey, maybe we can form a guild...The MONSTER SQUAD! Plus, using bowguns is kinda hard by yourself. |

Yeah Alex and I have played a couple of missions online. Works pretty well.
He and I were lancing and we had one gunner with us.
Now they were MUCH MUCH stronger than I was
so they were just helping out with getting parts for kut ku armor.
Good stuff man! You should definatly get it hooked up and then we see if we can get online all at the same time! |
