But I study too much. Like, I can be totally prepared for a test, but I'll still stay up all night and study. x_x

I know, I know, Bad Kat, no double posting. But I have to, because I realized this, and though it's a half-rant, I thought I'd put it here for discussion and what not, since this seems to be my school-related-rant thread. This is more on education and taking risks.

When I lived in Alabama, I started out as a classic country girl, then my mom moved into the trailer park. The rest of my family lives in old homes, all antebellum styled, even if they were built more recently. But I realized how much courage I have. I moved here for several reasons. 1. The treatment from my mom, but more importantly right now: 2. I could not grow up there. I could not become my mom. Because...there I alot more for me to do. I want to be a journalist and a freelance writer on the side. And if I had stayed in Alabama, there would be no way to put me on the track to do that. I'm persuing my dream, and that takes me away from all the situations i'm comfortable in. To take hold of my future, I have to take risks. "Nothing ventured, Nothing gained" I have to be willing to risk stability, and be willing to risk knowing the outcome. Yeah, I *know* I could, one day, get a job at McDonalds, but, I *don't* *know* I could get a job working for the newspaper. (AJC lol) Does that mean I'm going to go for the one I *know* I can get? No, not in this case. I *could*. I could take the position at McD's, and spend my life there, because I know i'd get it...But...what would that bring me? I'd hate work, and it wouldn't be worth the effort. And if I go to a job interveiw as a journalist (later, when I have more education--like college) I may get it, I may not. But I tried. And, I gotta keep trying. If I had stayed in Alabama, I wouldn't have the access to the opportunities or the education...So even though I left my mom, and I left my friends, I brightened my future...

So how's that?

I won't triple post--I'll just edit this one: They're putting me in advanced math too. *_* Did not know this. *wears a sign that says "Official PO Nerd"*

Katana you have what is classically called Bravery. Facing the unknown in spite of fear. You are a very strong individual, and I have no doubt that as long as you keep your goals and stick to them you'll be able to do anything you want to.
