You very own truely inspired Hoth has gone out and bought a new MMO that he knew nothing about. Vangaurd. After reading the book you get to buy houses (Hothville, i smell Hothville) and boats (Pirates foo!) and sail and they have a lot of options for character creation. There is like 3 type, 12 races, 19 classes and a buch of other stuff. It came out yesterday and officially opened today.
Ill update with what server im on if any want to join.

Ill remember to remember when i play some tonight. I can't figure out how to get what i need for my profession, but.. sofar im a lv 5 dark elf necromancer. 
Also I dig the Defensive Target and Offensive Target thing. Makes healing and defensive buffs better
And boy.. this game is resource heavy. |

the system requirements for VG are rediculous. I'd love to play it, but I cant afford an upgrade like that.
And dont bother Dai, it goes back to the FFXI and Eq mentality. You have to be in a group to get anything done. Its one of those games that solidifies your reasons for hating the genre. |

We'll see if it's like that. Started playing today and yes it seems that groups are going to be important, but it's the same as WoW at later levels. All of these games have needs for grouping. Let's just hope it's not as bad as FF or WoW at later levels. |

Faye sold me on not playing, probably. The game looks beautiful, but frankly, until someone realises I want to play a game AROUND people but not NESSESSARILY WITH people, Im done with the genre. |
