It appears I will have to hop on a plane to Washington State next month for a business trip.
The problem is,I haven't flown since I was 5...and I'm 27 now. 
Lame as it may sound, I'm afraid of flying. Not tomention the fact that I'm absolutely clueless as to what I will need/ allowed to take with me. The airport info only gives me so much to go by.
I'll only be there a couple days so I'm thinking I can go light on the luggage and maybe not even check anything...but I can't seemto find the size limit for carry-ons.
Any help/info/suggestions are VERY welcome! |

oo let's see. i take a plane like a million times a year (okay not really... but i do fly at least 6 times a year).
ANYWAY.. let's see... the size for your carryon is usually pretty small. I'd say about briefcase size, but you could go a little bit wider than that (and sometimes bigger actually... i've seen people take the small wheeling suitcases on board, but they have to stow them overhead rather than under the seat in front).
OKAY and you know about the whole "you can't have liquids unless they're less than (some amount of ounces) in size and they have to be in a ziplock baggie.."
but yeah.. I really enjoy flying and as long as you have a book or something, the time can go really quickly!!
Don't be worried.. if anything is amiss they'll help you at the airport!  have a fun and safe flight  |

I've got a bunch of different bags,its just a matter of what size I'mallowed to use. Using the overhead thingy was a given b/c I have to take my laptop with me, so that will take up the space under the seat. |

I would say that if you have any unanswered questions, you should just contact the airport. I'm sure they'd be happy to help you out. |

TSA/FAA don't regulate carry-on size or bag limits; check with the particular airline as to their own carry-on rules. Some airlines have "1 carry-on plus 1 personal item" rules that may or may not allow for a separate laptop case, or may allow for it if it's under a certain size. |

Ask.com helped to at least claer up the carry-on size for all...since its the same.
I just can't quite tell if my bag is the right size. My biggest one is a tiny bit bigger than the parameters, and the next size is still questionable....nyar! |

Good thing that's cleared up - I remember flying out to Vegas, listening to a lady complain about how such-and-such airline let her take a larger bag on as carry-on, or more bags, or whatnot. |

We're going to be flying from London to Paris in July, I've been on a plane before, but I think I was 12 the last time I went on one and never had anything to do with packing.
Likewise I remember having to be at the airport for aaaaaages before e boarded th plane and it was incredibly boring. But still, it'll be better than the Eurostar... |
