Now don't get onto me about the validity of the studies....

What's kind of ironic is that the website proudly proclaims "it's more comfortable!", and the second most selected response to "Why don't you sleep naked?" is "find it uncomfortable". For some of us (myself included), that's physically and not mentally/emotionally. Not going to get onto you by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm curious as to what counted as "night wear" in the study referred to as "Experiment A" (was it whatever the participants had originally been wearing to sleep, or was it some pre-determined set of garments that the participants may or may not have been used to/comfortable with?). They really ought to at least give cites to the studies for curious minds to do further research!

ADDENDUM: Yes, I am one of those people who wants citations for all studies involved simply so my choice of whether or not to read them is semantically meaningful.

Personally, I've enjoyed sleeping in a t-shirt and panties since high school..but, as of the past two years or so, I've become more inclined to sleep in nothing, or with just panties. It really does feel more comfortable for me.

But, then again, I'm not the sort of person who's truly 'shy' about my body. My concern is less about judging and feeling ashamed of my body-- as I do not-- and more about making other people uncomfortable by showing it off.

I know that some people really can't be comfortable with nothing on for longer than a few minutes. ^^ But I have to say that I'm certainly not one of those. I could walk around half-nude, or fully nude, all day if it wouldn't make others uncomfortable for me to do so.

I'm with Legend in the "not everyone cares to see other's bits n pieces" category. I do find it comfortable; but, with the fact that there are people who I live with that randomly enter my room while I'm asleep that don't particularly care for my dangly parts, it's all about shorts and tee for me.

I have a split mind on this topic. On the one hand it -IS- more comfortable or at least liberating to be in the bare essentials when I snooze, however I find that most nights I NEED to at least wear PJs or Shorts just to keep warm. I'm sure this has more to do with the fact that I'm more sensitive to cold. (Which explains my fondness for wrapping up in multiple blankets and smothering myself in warmness :3)

I'm not exactly comfortable with my body, so that may play some part in the fact that I prefer pajamas, but really the main factor I have to consider is temperature and the fabric I'll be sleeping on. If I'll be sleeping on something scratchy, or if it's really cold then I would be more apt to choose pajamas rather than sleeping in the buff. If it's an exceptionally nice night and I have t-shirt sheets rather than the cold silky ones, then sometimes I sleep sans clothing. I also have a little sister who has friends that like to invade my room at all hours of the night/morning. And like the site said, it just depends on how you feel and what your sleeping arrangements are. ^.^

I've figured it out! It's all just a big social experiment to see if they can get groups of people on the Internet to talk about whether or not they sleep naked. It's all for the lulz, don't you see?
