I just bought this movie for William yesterday. I agree that the undertones (well, at one point it's not really undertones anymore) kinda suck. It has a preview on teh DVD for some environmental organization, and the only insert in the case is for them as well.
One wonderful thing abotu DVDs is I can skip the chase scenes. The first one startled ME, and luckily William had run off at that point.
I just find it interesting that while humans don't speak penguin, somehow all of the "flying birds" and the elephant seals and leopard seals speak penguin.
I like it. And so does William.  |

xD I'm actually more excited to see it given the Fern Gully references. I -loved- Fern Gully and I'm always happy to see movies that introduce kids to environmental issue in an easy and friendly way. But that's probably just because I personally enjoy hugging trees, so to speak. |

I wouldn't midn it if it were more realistic in that point. I would't see a tapdancing penguin and think "What is it boy? Is little Timmy stuck in the well? Are you hungry?"
Maybe teh penguins know morse code... |
