Womens opinion needed!

Ok here's the deal, the truth be told my long hair has just gotten to stringy for me to keep any more and it's incredibly hot ad well. So I've been looking at hair styles. But I hate american hair styles sorry but it's the truth. So I've been looking at Asian hairstyles. Particularly short hair styles. And yes I do understand that if I cut my hair, I loose the one thing that makes me look my actual age, if you catch my drift, usually when I had short hair cuts, I looked like a twelve year old. Or at least that's what they told me, So I would like a womens opinion on which hair style you would think I'd look best in. Keep in mind were not going for Emo here. Something that looks good and attractive.

But before we start I should probably take a picture of me now, so you can have something to look at.

What sort of hair do you have? Is it naturally curly? Have you cut it short before to know how it behaves when short? I know if I cut my hair short it just curls even -more- (the length makes it wave out) and drives me batty.

If it'll behave, though, I like the first one best. ^^ Though I do adore curls on guys, but that'd be a more American hairstyle if you just cut it above the ears and put gel in it to keep the curls nice.

I'm not a big fan of hair that takes too much time to style lol. If you're going for metrosexual, then I guess either one is ok...but I say just buzz it.

Short hair/buzzed hair is hot, plus it feels nice to rub

my bf grew his hair out long, because he just really didnt have time to deal with it since he was almost always at work, and he finally cut it and he definitely looks 100% better with it shorter. Very few people can pull off longer hair on men, and long look...odd. But again, some ladies like it, just not me. Just tossing my opinion out there.

<3 I like long hair if it's maintained properly, and really not -too- long. Shoulders is probably the longest that usually looks good.

But over that, I prefer curls. Or short and fuzzy like Shino-sama does. <3 <3 it -is- really soft and fun to scratch.

I know there are more women on this board, come on ladies I'm in a crisis here. The way my hair looks matters to me especially when it comes to working I want something I can be comfortable with as well as something that people will find attractive. I've had lots of girls tel me that I look good with long hair, and I agree I do, but lately it's been stringing out and won't stay back. Plus it's really hot. I admire girls opinions on hair more than men because well lets put it this way. girls know what girls want, if you catch my drift.

I got tired of looking to my sisters for advice I decided to go outside the bloodline.

Personally, I prefer long hair (just ask Link, hes forbidden from cutting his hair short), so the hairstyle of those two that I prefer is the second, because it's a little bit longer.

Although certain guys do look good with a high-and-tight.... eh, whatever.


I'm like the only vote for the second one so far I think.

I like Jay Chou's hairstyle (pic 2) and he's cute too but I think you should get opinion from the hairstylist if your hair suitable for the cut and suit your face.

It looks like from the pictures that you're leaning toward some kind of style that will allow you to do something with the top of it. Although I don't really know the finer details of how a stylist does this, I think you need to keep it a bit longer on top.

It makes a diff in how/where you part your hair too. But if you get the top long, get some layers put in that would help break it up...And just shorten and bring in the sides and back...no biggie.

A good stylist can help you hammer out the details...and if you go with something like this you can also tone it down for interviews.
