Well, it looks interesting enough. I would rather hear a testimonial from someone I know who has used it, verses someone who says they have on a website. I'm sure its fantastic, but I would feel its a more legit opinion coming from someone i know.

While I have not used this particular product, I have been using the Instead Cup since college (1996). It is also a silicone based product that is available at most retail outlets that carry feminine hygiene products. I personally like the product. It is reusable throughout the day and is able to contain my very heavy flow in a way no other product has been effective. Also, you can actually have sex while the product is inserted. Granted, I have never tried this but a good friend of mine does all the time and swears by it!

My friend also cannot use tampons because she is susceptible to Toxic Shock Syndrome but has not had any difficulty with this particular device. Something to keep in mind.

The product is also quite comfortable which was a shock to me the first time I tried it. Much like the nuva ring, you just don't notice it.

Oh, and no smell! Most body fluids begin to develop odor when they come in contact with air. Because the product contains it, no odor. Yay!

So while I can't confirm the effectiveness or comfort of this particular brand I can say that the concept is great and very effective.

Keep in mind that the product is messy. So if you are traveling when using it, make sure you keep some wipes or have some other way of washing your hands thoroughly.

I'm an Instead user as well, and was researching the website info before trying it. One of the FAQs on there was regarding whether or not inserting something like this after sex would help someone get pregnant.

I couldn't help but laugh.

i DO know someone that uses this and she RAVES about it. that is how i even know about it in the first place. i had never even HEARD about anything like this before that. mine is on the way. some testimonials on the site were that it was hard to figure out how to use it, so...
*shrug*
