You could honestly say that my office is on the high end of multicultural.
We share 1 breakroom with a call center on one side of the building and a bunch of network engineers on the other. Then there's my tiny group of 3 that is proposals...simply b/c we were here first and have a production room that can't just move to another building.
Its a rarity for someone around here Not to have some sort of accent, so the food cooresponds to all this, and its not always a good thing.
Throw in the occasional burned bag o popcorn and you've got a regular workweek. |

most people would be gagging at several smells i love: the smell of a fully operating machine shop with lubricants and coolent flying with chips churning out (also the warmest place to be in winter i often have said), the smell of a diesel engine as it cranks up, good buck lure, fresh blood of an animal you hunted, and fresh gun smoke followed by the smell of nitro solvent. |

I've got to agree with DLOE on the machine shop smell, something about it is just so... biologically neutral.
I'm gonna have to disagree on the tire air, I've worked at a Sears Auto Center long enough to turn me off of car smells. Something even about the "new car smell" that people try to buy out of a can just nauseates me too. I love the smell of leather, but that chemical attempt at leather smell is just wrong. |

My car smells like leaves. :] It makes me happy.
I have a favorite smell that perhaps is rather strange...dishwasher detergent. The solid kind that you pour. No, I will not do your dishes.
My car used to smell like burnt popcorn when the heater was turned on. |
