shoulda known this would happen sometime - priests at a catholic school...

is nothing holy these days? that is all i can ask. after the last few years with scoutmasters and priests it feels like the world isnt going to hell, its been there. today i learned that two priests who havent taught at my school for around 20 years have been accused of sexual abuse by 2 former students of my school. one of them dropped dead of a heart attack in a hotel bathroom after performing the ceremony for an alumnus' wedding in 1976. what are they gonna do? bring the skeletonized corpse of this poor man into court and charge him? cant these people just let the dead rest, or is everything about money these days? the other priest has been relieved of his sacramental duties as a priest and put on hiatus by Vanderbilt university where he is working. my school has to deal with this. cant things be left alone, or is all the waves caused on other peoples lives worth stealing money from a dead guys family, oh wait he has no family, he was a priest.

If I had been sexually harassed as a kid I'd be pretty pissed off and want something in return for services as well -_-;

I think it has less to do with the accusing the priest and more to do with accusing the church that would put a guy like that in a position where he could DO that to someone. I mean, being a priest is supposed to be a postion of trust and respect, and to abuse that power and that trust is a terrible thing. It can ruin religion and faith for people. It's a very serious thing.
