poem: Three Sisters

I wrote this for a pagan friend/co-worker who moved to Texas. She and I had so much in common and is now afraid our bond will be broken. We met another in the office and now we all share a close relationship to the only pagans (that we know of) in our office.

Please read with an open mind and share criticism. Thanks!

Three Sister we shall be,
Maiden, Mother, Crone
And though we will be far apart,
We are never alone.

Knowledge and Magick bind us together
Like the knots of a Celtic heart.
And though we follow separate paths
Each of us plays our part.

Strengthening our bond
As only we can do,
So if ever you feel alone
Just know, I will be thinking of you.

So as you set your alter,
Day after day,
Remember my dear Sisters,
We are not far away.

Look deep into your heart
And you will find,
Three Sisters;
Body, heart, soul and mind.

For really a lack of a better word...this sounds very appropriate. I really don't know very much of anything about being pagan, but this just sounds right.

This may sound a bit off, but its meant as a compliment: This sounds like something I would read in a novel series by Nora Roberts, where it had to do with 3 sisters who were modern Celtic witches.

Your poem has a very old worldly feel to it, that I like.

And on another note, its cool to have yet another facet added to PO. I don't know everyone well enough to say that there's anyone else here who happens to be pagan but, I enjoy meeting someone who has a different perspective on things.

I appreciate your candor and your honesty. Most folk aren't usually "accepting" of different religious beliefs, especially the "old ways" which paganism really is. I just think no matter what religion you are we are all trying to get in contact with the divine and that is what really matters.

And if you don't believe in anything, that's okay too. I am very accepting of other beliefs, just as long as you don't foist them upon me.

I agree that it does add another facet to PO. Who says we all have to be the same? LOL

I tend to regard people more along the lines of how they are as a person and not by what they believe/don't.

If I like you, I like YOU, not because you're a <insert generic label>.

Learning that you're Pagan, just makes you that more interesting, at least to me Razz
