I don't know if you've been checking their boards but Cox Communications is about to drop wireless on the nation so you may want to check their boards for it. I know they are about to boost their IT groups so it will be worth keeping on your radar. I'll keep an ear out for any additional movement.
They have a wireless job posted on their site (www.cox.com) for Sr Mgr, Product Management - Customer Equipment- Wireless under the external applicants jobs. They also have a Manager, Fulfillment Wireless (Supply Chain organization) position. Check back often. It's about to blow up over there and I know they can use people especially in wireless backgrounds. |

Are they under a hiring freeze? They still have these open...or at least some similar that were posted as early as January! I've applied for 5 of the oldest listings yeasterday, then the 5 freshest today...then the rest of the "middle" ones tomorrow. That 5 applications per day gets annoying. Particularly when they don't call you for an interview or even acknowledge that you've applied.
Needless to say, I'm getting a bit restless because I'm not getting any activity, anywhere. My applications fall into he blackhole of resumes! |

Irony of all ironies, I start work tomorrow!!! Back at AT&T!
I'm going to be a new Senior Technical Project Manager back on the Wireless side!...in IT! hehehehehehe
And even funnier, I'll be in the same building, and on the same floor as I used to be! |

Yikes!
And I'm part of a full on IT group! I get to learn about switches and routers and data lines that make all this new and emerging technologies come to life!
How cool is that?!!!
Its a lot to take in, being that I don't have an IT background, but its something I'm actually enjoying learning more and more about.
Not to mention that being able to tell someone I'm a Senior IT Project Manager is epicly easier to understand and explain than what I used to do  |
