aRPG up and running - but don't get carried away.

aRPG is up and running.

You can now attack, defend and heal. Attacking is based on member level which will probably change soon.

Defending takes 5 exp.

you get exp for posting.

If you are caught spamming, your attack privilages will be taken away and you will be attacked by everyone!!!! Wiggle

For reference... this is just a taster. 2.0 iscoming out soon and we will be upgrading to that. This will also mean the end of attacking outside the RP forums. Which means those that can't post in the RP forums can't attack or be attacked. I will give more updates on this as we go.

One note: You can attack yourself. Yes, this was a mistake but with no obvious instructs or confirmation screens it's easy to slide over while the page is loading (that's what happened to me). How about a simple layout on how the system works...even tho nobody (but me) ever reads instructions for anything.

I've just been messing around with it a little bit.

you get a random number (1-4) of exp points with every post.

you go up a level when you get 40 exp points

it looks like currently damage is set to (lvl/2) + 1. Or I thought so. Has anyone experienced hitting for a number greater then this?

you can attack yourself
you can heal yourself
you can defend.

healing and defend seem to cost exp points so be careful.

That's about what I have right now.

Cool...so when i want to attack, all i have to do is click the attack thingy and then pick someone to attack?

well, i ended up hitting myself, like razer explained before Very Happy

also, do we get attack reports, which tell us if people attack us, or who we attacked?

Also, what happens when we hit 0 hp?

I think you actually find someone you want to attack and click the attack button on their post...Much like when I stabbed you like 2 minutes ago Tobi...What can I say? I like pushin buttons.

ok, so im getting the hang of this aRPG thingy now. You can attack anyone at any time, including urself. You can also defend for some exp. Only your guy will have the Defend icon showing up, when u are logged on. Also, healing works quite crazily. Can we heal other people?

And on a final note, what is the little number next to all of the icons?

Is that how many attacks / actions we have left?
