whats wrong?

I don't know what it is but I can't stop thinking of my grandmother. She died March of 2002. I remember when she went into the hospital and I remember going to see her. She always went to the hospital so I assumed she would come back home soon. Then one day I decided not to go, and she died that week. I didn't cry when I found out she died. Most people are torn up inside when they find out some relative dies. She lived with us for about a year so its not like she wasnt close to me. I don't really know why i'm posting this but I just wanted to know whats wrong with me. I wish I could go back and tell her I loved her. She was so sick though, and I hope shes in a better place. I feel so insensitive sometimes. My siblings didn't even go to school they felt so bad. I on the other hand lost a few nights of sleep thinking about her. I didn't cry, I never did. The only time I remember crying is at her funeral...I'm not sure why i'm saying all this I guess i'd like to know why I feel like this now...I bet this is weird having someone new spill their guts but it's easier this way. People I don't know judging me is a lot easier to take than people I know. Anyways...I'll post something sooner or later....

Reminds me of when I lost my uncle. I think you aren't insensible, then again, I don't know you much so I can'T really tell, but I think it's disbeleif. I too cried at my uncle's funeral but it was for the fact that my mom told me I shouldn't waste the evening to go see him because I'd be late in my homework ... dammit he was about to die!? I had tears of hate rather then tears of sadness, I do miss my uncle, but I forgave my mom about that, but still, I wish I could have told him goodbye.

I agree with the above two posts. Every body deals with thing differently.
but I think that I know where you are coming from, I have had several people close to me die(granted none of them were family but they were damn close) and I have not shed a single tear. its not that I am insensitive but I know that death is a fact of life. I have a quote that I live by when things like this happen.
"Don't cry because it's over...Smile because it happened."
I guess what I am trying to say is that there is not anything wrong with you.

In my opinion, If you feel like crying, go for it. A good cry is among the best forms of stress-relief ever invented. I remember the last time I broke down and cried, and things that had been building for years were washed away in the space of a 5 minute cry. It's great.
