Why do witches burn??

Because they are made of wood. Therefore, the only other way to find out if someone is a witch is to dump her in water. If she sinks, then she weighs more than a duck, and therefore must not be made of wood. If she floats, she's made of wood and should be burned with all due haste, because if you don't, pretty soon everyone will begin to question your judgement because "She really is a nice woman, really." and then she will come visit you and slip some strange potion into your drink, food, fork, spoon, knife, and anywhere else she can put it so that you will fall madly in love with her and grant her total control over the town. This is a bad thing.

Because the werewolves are busy going to parties. Or you could examine the case of halloween, in which the werewolves are unable to go out and eat/drink/slurp people because they are unable to instill fear. Also, werewolves are too afraid of large groups of human life.

Because a duck's quack is made through the vibration of the entire duck, rather than just the vocal chords. Try it sometime. Pick up a duck and shake it about really fast. It will produce loud quacking sounds. The reason they don't echo is because of the sound dispersal. The sound is being produced by the entire duck, rather than a point source, as is usual. This causes the echoes to run into eachother and cancel eachother out. Thus, a duck's quack doesn't echo.
