im lucky i suppose coz my dad didnt really stick around thank god coz i might have turned out like him and that would have been a catastophey for sure.i have my mum and thats all that is important coz she loves me sometimes and at least she stuck around

I can still remember my parents divorce. I hated my dad for years after that, especially since he only cared about my older sister. Later on he realized how wrong he was and he started to work on making it up to my family. Eventhough my parents are still divorced I do feel now like I was blessed with the greatest father ever seeing as how he is now the person who supports me tyhe most on everything and is really trying. What I'm trying to say is that maybe your father is lying to you now but eventually everyone comes around. No one is as blind as to not see the error in their ways he probably knows he did wrong but doesn't know how to fixit, and the fact that he wanted custody shows he does really care about you. Maybe he just doesn't know how to talk to you about this things so you should go up to him and talk. Let him know whats in your heart. Anyone can tell you that there never will be anyone who will be there for you more than family, and I know he will understand your point and views.
