I was surfing on the net when I accidently find a web site call exactly like that... So, it's means that others people think that way too and this make me feel sorry for them, for the psychologist that want to help others and for me... I mean, psychology never show religious matter to be wrong so why some religious people are wary about and tell something like that.
Sad

Psychology is really something I have in my heart and this let me help people really more efficiently then I did before. I always wanted to help people an have often find myself give voluntary help and drop my thing to help my friends even before I learned psycho.

Isn't the matter of both religious people and psychologist to help the others ?

I know I souldn't be hurt by something like this but I am. ._.

Do somes of you also thing this way and why ?

I've never heard anything like that before and I think what you say is true... If I had to guess why, I'd say that some fundamentalists have a belief that psychology is a way to try and understand something that god doesn't want us to understand, maybe? Or it might be that they think that a lot of psychologists are just out there for the money or something, but then again, a lot of people from a lot of different professions do what they do just for the money....

I don't see why psychology and religion would ever somehow really conflict like that, personally...

Yeah, the internet never ceases to amaze me. And for some reason it never fails to dredge up this sort of intellectual mud from the shoes of society. This is only an example of the sort of hate groups that publish websites denouncing everything from the science of physchology to fairy tales like Harry Potter. Frankly, I can't even begin to understand people like that. In today's informed society (obviously this revolutionist has internet access), how can some one harbor such back water and primitive beliefes. Its not only irrational, its plainly embarrasing to the human race. Everytime I come up with that kind of non-sense I can only shake my head and wonder how people like that even function in normal society. Whats even scarier than that is to think that for everyone of these nut cases, theres probably a hundered more somewhere reading that and going "Hmm, right. I understand and agree with what he's saying."

ARRRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!! *music changes to a sad violin*

No pity Psychology is evil. Understanding the human mind is bad! No pity

*exasperated sigh*

Im glad this is the Soapbox ^_^. In any case, Im comforted that, in spite of pitiful wastes of flesh like Mr. Phychology above, there are genuinly great people in the world and I meet more and more everyday, especially here and home sweet home Pocket Otaku.

-___-

When they ignore something why they doesn't only search for information?
It seem that judging is better that searching for information and that a good arguing can convince people if it's seem logical even if isn't accurate or true. That make sense for them so it must be true....-_-()

This ALMOST ranks up above the conspiracy that LOTR The Two Towers is related to the WTC attacks.

I think you mean "disappointed". Smile "Deceived" means "to be fooled".

<-personal opinion->
It's a control thing. I think the key base of most organized religions is control. Take Catholicism for example. The Pope probably has greater military strength than a good number of countries. All he has to do is say "All other religions are evil. Kill them." and, with today's world what it is, most will do exactly that. Worldwide bloodshed in seven words. I think the basis of that control is making people believe that religion can solve all your problems. You know how kids who are Depressed or ADD try to medicate themselves with pot and other drugs? And then it ceases to be a question of medication, but one of addiction? I think the premise is much like that. If Religious belief can solve all your problems, why do anything else, right? A church can make a LOT of money through tithes if they can pull that off.

...I need to see a shrink...
