Question for this..uh...day..even though these are turning out more like every two or three days. :

What is it about taking the first step? Why is it so difficult to tell someone you like them? I mean, obviously, the worst they can do is say they don't feel the same. Although, if you're friends, it gets a bit more complicated-- things like that can sometimes ruin a friendship. But Then again, if you lose them over that, they probably weren't worth having anyways.

So, why is it so hard to say it?

It's the threat of possibility. What if you ask, and she's already got a boyfriend? It would be so EMBARRASSING! What if she doesn't even know who you are? It would be so EMBARRASSING! What if you go to say something, but you stumble over your words and it comes out a garbled version of "heyouannaghououwime?" It would be so EMBARRASSING!

Basically, from a guy's perspective, it's like walking a balance beam to a diving board. Until you've actually made the dive, even the vaguest breath of air can ruin the whole scheme and send you plummeting to your emotional doom. That make any sense? Can anyone identify with that?

I think Lews kinda nailed it. People hate being embarassed and rejected. We go most of our lives taking extreme measures to make sure we don't ever have to feel embarassed or rejected. It takes a very secure person to be able to shrug off rejection, especially if they really care about that person.

Basically, its like lews said..but u are also right Shan...its basically just a yes or no question. The worst is that they say no...or do like they did to Az...Which would hurt lots...

Do you Roleplay (Besides on PO)? What sort of characters? What Roleplaying Style?

I roleplay. I used to do some MUCKing, though I don't anymore. Nowadays, I will do a group fic once in a while. I prefer to roleplay in a freeform style instead of being restricted by stats (like Red Mage in 8-bit Theater!) but it depends on the game.

I like to RP but I lack a group to RP with. And unlike Shuri I like stats cause it gives ya direction more or less.
