HEY, EVERYBODY!
Well, I am new and quite excited that I found a seemingly good anime and gamming discusion board. Just got into anime late last year and manga just recently. Have been playing video games in all forms for as long as I can remember. I was reffered by Terin. I guess thats all that matters. |

Watch Evangelion and dont forget the movie, End of Evangelion.
There are many others I would suggest but I just wanted to hit THE high note. |

Hmm, you've hit a lot of high notes, commendable, but your still missing some good back ground essentials. Heres a list of classics to catch up on:
From Hayao Miyazaki (Now being brought over by Disney). (These movies are all light hearted, fun, and best of all, one disc, so you can rent it and be done in one evening)
-----------------------------
Kiki's Delivery Service
Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away
Castle in the Sky (Laputa)
Good one timers: (A few more one shotters good for a night.)
-----------------------------
Gunsmith Cats
Your Under Arrest!! The Movie
Ex-Driver (OVA)
Macross Plus
(An OAV is an Original Video Animation, ie made just for DVD. They are usually better quality than a series)
Good series: (Long, but worth the time!)
-----------------------------
FLCL (OVA)
Kare Kano (His and Her circumstances)
Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi
Initial D
Evangelion
The Manga home video classics: (These are some older moveis, but deeply rooted in anime subculture. Id watch them one day when your bored.)
-----------------------------
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Akira
Ghost in the Shell
Ninja Scroll |

AH! Thats what I forgot. I only listed the series, I have seen a few movies as well, including:
Ghost In the Shell
Ah! My Godess
X
Princess Mononoke
Akira
And one short series I forgot: Golden Boy
Most of the things listed I have heard about from other people. Right now I am basicaly watching as much as I realisticaly can(I hold a job and go to school full time), so most of that I have heard about and am interested in I just haven't got around to. I saved a list of all your sugjestions though. I just finished getting the last big chunk of Naruto episodes and am allmost done getting the last chunk of FMA, so as soon as I finish watching those I guess I will have to flip a caoin as to what comes next. |

See you got one up on me. Naruto and FMA are relaly popular in the anime scene right now and I havnt even touched them >_</ I did see FMP, but its last years news. How was Golden Boy, I always wanted to see that! Its it worth the time to watch?
Just in case you couldnt tell, the bolded ones are my personal highest reccomendations in that list. For being a new fan, you sure are covering ground really fast!
Btw, welcome to PO, hope you have fun here! |

I believe anything worth doing is worth doing right
I noticed the bold sugjestions, I figured thats what you ment by it.
Golden Boy was worth the time, I found it to be hilarious, just don't watch it with kids around, it is deffinatly closer to the adult side of anime, but not full blown pr0n. |
