Someone on MSN suggested eWiz for new computer parts (he wanted Newegg but they don't ship to Canada) and after a bit of searching, we agreed on the following setup:

CASE: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=CA-5171B
MOTHERBOARD: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=MB-K8NE-DX
CPU: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=A643000BOX
VIDEO CARD: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=EV-FX6800
RAM: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=D400_1GKI
HARD DRIVE: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=HD-D2000JB
POWER SUPPLY: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=PS-W0019
FLOPPY DRIVE: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=MTM-1.44BL
DVD-RW: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=DVD18A_BK
CD-RW WITH DVD READING CAPABILITIES: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=SOHC5232BK
KVM SWITCH: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=DL-DKVM2K
AUDIO-VIDEO CAPTURE CARD: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=LV-TV_PCI

The KVM switch is pretty nifty since I won't have to buy a new keyboard, mouse and monitor to operate the thing. Smile

The entire setup comes to 1240.37 American dollars before tax. The cheapest shipping available, FedEx International Economy, would cost $154.31. Now, taxes here in Quebec sum to to 15%, so I'll add 15% to the box, which brings me to... $1426.43

Converting to Canadian dollars:

COMPUTER PARTS: $1865.42
SHIPPING: $201.80

TOTAL EXPECTED COST: $2067.22 Canadian dollars (or $1580.74 American.)

So, that good enough? Rolling Eyes

Nice. Im gonna start building a computer next year. Im prolly gonna wait for the motherboards with 939 sockets and PCI express to come out. Amd's future processors are supposed to be 939 sockets so upgrading in the future should be relatively easy. Pci express will be pretty sweet.
