Wild Card Weekend
Saturday, Jan. 4
N.Y. Jets 41, Indianapolis 0 - Awesome!
Atlanta 27, Green Bay 7 - I live in Atlanta, but I would have liked to have seen Green Bay win. Dunno, I think they deserved it a little more I guess.
Sunday, Jan. 5
Pittsburgh 36, Cleveland 33 - GOOD. PUNK A$$ BROWNS. YOUR WIN IN THE LAST WEEK KEPT MY BRONCOS OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS. (But I'm not bitter!)
San Francisco 39, N.Y. Giants 38 - This game ended wrong and it seems to be all we hear about. I really wanted the giants to win.
Divisional Playoffs
Saturday, Jan. 11
Tennessee 34, Pittsburgh 31 (OT) - Good deal. McNair is an awesome Q and he has a pretty good lineup backing him. But is it enough?
Philadelphia 20, Atlanta 6 - Good deal. McNabb kicks some butt too. And the fact that this team won so much without him in the regular season really makes me admire them as a team.
Sunday, Jan. 12
Tampa Bay 31, San Francisco 6 - Crap. Even though this should be the Giants playing and not the 9ers, I don't like Tampa Bay much. Would have liked to have seen them lose.
Oakland 30, N.Y. Jets 10 - Well, everyone knows that I am required to hate Oakland being a Broncos fan. Plus I like the Jets, so I was quite disappointed with this outcome.
Left to come.
Sunday, Jan. 19
Tampa Bay at Philadelphia, 3:00 pm on FOX
Man I hope Philly mops the floor with them. I just can't stand.
Tennessee at Oakland, 6:30 pm on CBS
Go Tennessee. Although I'm afraid of their chances, I still have hope that they can pull through.
I'm really scared of what the outcome of these games could be. The Super Bowl could possibly end up being Tampa Bay against Oakland at which time I have no one to cheer for b/c I hate both teams. Come on Philly and TN! |

My Jets are out, so I feel the need to root for an AFC team, which means either Oakland or Tennessee. I'd prefer Tennessee.
And with the NFC, I like McNabb alot. Got to meet him while he was still at Syracuse, so I hope he does well. I like Gruden as a coach though. |

Well even tho I'm recently transplanted I'll always be a Giants fan. Seeing as how they're out (more to their own stupidity so I won't even bother with poor officiating) I guess I gotta look at it intelligently instead of emotionally. Tampa has the best D left in the Playoffs, Philly has the most solid Offense. Oakland is the most unpredictable and can score 90 points if they're clicking and Tenn is the total enigma (I think they're more streaky than good). So where do you go?
Defense wins championships so Tampa takes it...except that they're right next to Pittsburgh in terms of choking. There hasn't been an AFC team that has convinced me since Elway left so my money is on Philly.
I just wish I had an attachment to one of these teams.
Philly 31-17 over Tampa (defense gets brainfreeze wondering who's gonna QB)
Oakland 28-24 over Tennessee (uh...Home teams rule?)
Philly 25-22 over Oakland in the Super Bowl (Giving hope to all those who get stuck with pathetic numbers in the office pool. LOL) |
