Heh. If you're going to claim rip-off, though, you should go back to the origins of the hero myth. Heracles is a good start, if not further back from there. |

I was about to say...there are many parallels between Star Wars and mythology, and Lucas even said that he was directly inspired by the works of Joseph Campbell. And there are many who subscribe to the theory that there are only ten basic storylines, and all other stories evolve off of at least one of those ten.
Nevertheless, this was humorous XD |

As for Star Wars being based on Mythology, Lucas pretty much says its 100% true on the Bonus DVD in the Star Wars Trilogy box set. |
