Get WoW. PSU is a sorry excuse for a game.

WoW is a great experience with a lot of depth. PSU is fun with close friends for short bursts, but is basically shallow.

One is not "awesomer" than the other. The are different games and cannot be compared.

But if you want to get one or the other... I say!

PSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

And here's why...

The game is much much better with the expansion and it's easier to level up now as they increased all experience by 1/3 and increased meseta drops by 10x!

The new missions yield much more Mission points too.

In about 15 hours of play I'm already level 20 and have reached my Advanced type of Acrotecher... which is one of the new ones.

PSU seems much easier to play casually. WoW is a hardcore MMO so if you want to devote your life to playing it, then by all means. I did hear they made leveling easier for levels 1-60, but don't have experience with that as i remember what it's like to be wrapped up in that game. But if you want to play other games along with an online game... PSU is the way to go!

Una, Aimen and I are playing it on 360.
CK is playing it on PS2 and I think RG is going to join him in that venture. And the PC and PS2 versions play well together so you would be able to play with them on your laptop.

They actually just made levelling easier for levels 20-60 in WoW. Quests give more experience, killing mobs gives more experience, and also, they lowered the amount of experience needed for those levels.

I personally have never played PSU, but being a hardcore WoW player, that's my recommendation Smile And it CAN be played casually, it's just that a lot of times you can get wound up in it. They have the rest system and the experience changes specifically for those who are more casual players. The more hardcore players are less likely to leave their character alone long enough to develop and entire level and a half of rested status, which earns double experience for killing mobs.

I personally became absorbed into teh game for about 7 months. A few months of that I was majorly involved in a guild, but now Link and I have both left that guild and are much more easily able to play casually.

WoW FTW! Razz

I love WoW. I am not the biggest hardcore player in it (then again, I am in a more casual guild that does get a lot done like Kara and are just starting ZA though we are not big enough for the 25 man raids....yet). I have played it since launch and very much enjoyed it (although, I only got a few high level characters, I tend to be focused on the main I have at the time).

PSU, for me, wasn't as good as I had hoped it to be. The game got dull really fast and I just couldn't get into it the way I got PSO.

PSU I played for about 2 months and got bored.

WoW I have been playing since release in 2005, still have not lost interest, have leveled many characters and met many great people.

If you find the right "home" (server) WoW can definitely be something that just keeps going. But get the expansion if you do nab WoW again.

PSU juts looks boring, I used to watch Zach play it.
WoW isn't hardcore but it can be fun.
EVE is defiantly hardcore considering your in a one sever cluster PvP only universe with corporate wars going on all the time and an economy thats player based.

Everquest 2 Wink

I'd go for the lesser of evils, WoW, because at least that has a bit of variety in it, where as PSU is truly one of the worst games I have ever played.

WoW is dangerously addictive. I had to stop my account temporarily because i'm trying to study for the GRE.

I'm always terrible about getting to the end-game though. I have more fun when i stop worrying so much about getting to the next level all the time.

Eh.. . I can't compare to PSU, since I haven't played it. With the amount of time i'm trying to limit myself to game-wise. It would probably be the smarter choice. ..not that i can play it, since i don't have a system that will run it. (unless they came out with a mac version? unlinkely)
