Well it's official ATA Airlines and Aloha Airlines have declared bankruptcy and all flights have been suspended indefinitely! Now, me being in the travel industry, we have to pick up the pieces of everything and provide full refunds at a loss to us!
Yesterday I spent an entire eight hours canceling reservations, trying to find accommodations for the next week or two. It has been a nightmare!

I'm a csr (customer service rep) and can't. I have to be all nicey nice to all my clients regardless of how I feel. I swear I am going to need a stiff drink and plenty of shots tonight to forget about these last two days. |

...I must be missing something here. I mean, maybe I'm just being obtuse...but it seems to me that so long as nobody hears them scream, you should be home free.
Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know...but, I mean...you know...isn't there an abandoned quarry or shipyard or something of that nature somewhere near you? Come on. Think of how good it will be. |

I feel your pain. At my last job one of our venders would sunset product lines with only a months notice. The sunset would included limited availability of parts.
"I know you paid 15K for this system a year ago but this part broke and it's not available. Do you want to schedule a onsite demo of our new product line?" It's not a good thing when police departments get pissed at you.... |

Ha, LOL!! I got a couple drinks on Friday and totally blitzed on Saturday so I'm feeling a lot better and not feeling like I need to strangle anyone now. Alcohol is my friend. Plus since I now live in an apartment connected to a bar, I don't have to go far to collapse into bed. |

Yeah, I suppose I should have, but it's hard to strangle an airline. Those planes are just too big! LOL
On a good note, things are slowing down a bit and people aren't quite as panicky as they were a few days ago. Travel agents know what their options are and are taking care of it mostly by themselves. Now we are just trying to tie up any loose ends and take care of our clients. |

Have you looked at a plane recently? The landing gear alone is about three times the size of a human. I would probably get crushed under all that rubber like an ant.  |
